Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the ancient science of treating all types of illness and conditions by inserting fine needles into any of the 400+ acupuncture points found all over the body. The needles are used to manipulate "qi" (pronounced "chee"), the body's natural energy. Different needling techniques are used to tonify deficient conditions or disperse excess conditions. When tonification is needed, moxibustion may be included. Electrical stimulation is used with acupuncture to treat muscle spasms and pain.

Acupuncture is not painful, however some patients report feeling a sensation comparable to a mosquito bite when a needle is inserted. While receiving acupuncture patients may feel tingling, heat, distention, or energy moving in the body. All of these sensations are normal experiences of feeling "qi". All needles used at Remedy are sterilized, sealed, and disposable.
