Ginna was born in Raleigh, NC and has practiced therapeutic massage in town for over 14 years. She graduated from the Carolina School of Massage Therapy in 1992 and continued to study osteopathic, sensory-motor, and neuromuscular bodywork. She left her job as an instructor at the Medical Arts Massage School in 2000 to pursue her education in Traditional Chinese Medicine in New Mexico.

After three years of post-graduate study at the International Institute of Chinese Medicine and the Southwest Acupuncture College in Albuquerque, Ginna returned to Raleigh to set up her practice, Remedy.

Ginna feels it is her mission as a professional and a person to educate interested individuals about their bodies and total health, and to assist them to feel their absolute best naturally. Remedy offers a nurturing environment where Ginna can help you on your path to optimal health.

Why Traditional Chinese Medicine?
After many years of practicing massage, Ginna began to relate musculo-skeletal dysfunction with patterns that follow pathways known as meridians in Chinese medicine. Her desire to understand what she observed drove her to pursue a Master's of Oriental Medicine.

Ginna's coursework has given her the tools, understanding, and information she needs to treat you effectively. Her clinical experiences include a Japanese style specialty acupuncture clinic, an obstetrical and gynecological rotation, and an internship at La Familia, one of Albuquerque's foster care facilities.

The diversity of her education has prepared Ginna to accurately evaluate and assess each individual's needs. When she is not working to establish her new business, Ginna enjoys practicing yoga, travel, dancing, animals and reading.

"The best part of my job is helping people. Every person I meet has something to teach me. I love to massage people. I put my eyes in my hands and feel for the clues that will solve the mystery of what is going on with a person and their health. It is like solving a puzzle."
